The farewell activities for the beneficiaries of my foreign postgraduate scholarships in AI, Robotics, Cybersecurity and Forensic Science began hours ago. It started with walima and distribution of award letters, laptops, travel documents, Holy Qur’an, travel bags, and hijabs (females) at a colourful ceremony held at the Bristol Place Hotel, Kano. Through my foundation, the Barau I Jibrin Foundation (BIJF), 70 students were selected for the first batch of my foreign postgraduate scholarships in artificial intelligence, robotics technology, cybersecurity and forensic science. The beneficiaries were drawn from the three senatorial districts of Kano State. I urged the beneficiaries to honourably represent Kano State and Nigeria as they seek knowledge abroad.

The Chairman of our party, the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Kano State, Prince Abdullahi Abbas, urged the beneficiaries to be good ambassadors of our state and country. On his part, former Vice Chancellor of Bayero University Kano (BUK), Professor Yahuza Bello, said the initiative has provided the bedrock of development for the beneficiaries, Kano and the nation at large.

On Sunday, the beneficiaries will be airlifted to commence their studies abroad.
