On Sunday, 8th February 2026, a crucial stakeholders’ meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was held in Birni and Kewaye Local Government Area. The meeting brought together top party leaders, prominent stakeholders, and members of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) who defected alongside the Executive Governor of Kano State, His Excellency Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, to the APC.
The meeting was convened following the directive of His Excellency the Governor, who instructed all Local Government Areas to organize similar meetings aimed at strengthening unity, mutual understanding, and cohesion among party members at all levels.
The meeting was held under the leadership of Comrade Dr. Muntari Ishaq Yakasai, during which key issues concerning party affairs were discussed. Deliberations focused on unity between old and new members and strategies for further strengthening the APC in Birni and Kewaye Local Government Area.
