The Kano State Government has empowered 1,130 graduates from six entrepreneurship skills institutes in a renewed effort to boost job creation and self-reliance among youths.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf said the initiative was aimed at rekindling hope, restoring dreams, and unlocking the potential of young people to become productive and innovative contributors to the state’s economy. According to him, each graduate received not only a certificate but also an empowerment package relevant to their area of training. The distribution breakdown includes: Informatics Institute, Kura: 250 graduates received laptop computers and phone repair kits. Livestock Institute, Bagauda: 140 graduates received bulls, feed, and veterinary medication.

Driving Institute, Kumbotso: 250 graduates received driving licences and certificates. Horticulture Institute, Bagauda: 200 graduates received modern gardening tools. Fisheries Institute, Bagauda: 200 graduates received fingerlings, weighing scales, and tarpaulin ponds.Film Institute, Tiga: 90 graduates received digital cameras.Governor Yusuf reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to creating sustainable livelihoods for youths through skills development and targeted support.
