As part of efforts to cushion the economic burden on citizens and support grassroots development, the Director General of the National Productivity Centre, Hon. Dr. Baffa Babba Danagundi, nim, has led a major outreach initiative across Kano State, distributing essential food items and fertilizer to farmers and over 5,000 Islamic clerics.
The gesture, which aligns with the social intervention agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was made possible through the support of the Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations, Hon. Abubakar Abba Bichi, who facilitated the provision of the items in recognition of the contributions of pro-Tinubu support groups in the Northwest zone. Speaking during the event, Hon. Danโagundi reaffirmed his commitment to community empowerment, stating that, โThis initiative is in line with President Tinubuโs vision to alleviate hardship and promote inclusive support across all sectors of society.โ
The event, which drew thousands of supporters and stakeholders from the Northwest, took place at the Northwest regional headquarters of pro-Tinubu support groups located along Audu Bako Road in Kano. This distribution marks yet another milestone in grassroots mobilization and support for key community leaders playing vital roles in fostering peace, unity, and national development.
The event was attended by Islamic scholars, farmers, and other prominent individuals from Kano, Abuja, and various other states across the Northwest States.
