โThe North-West Development Commission (NWDC) warmly welcomed the Honourable Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, during his visit to Kano for the Qurโanic Recitation Competition, held in tribute to the late Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji Tinubu, OON, MFR. This significant event was graciously organized by Sen. Basheer Lado, CON, Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters.

โFollowing the event, the Minister, joined by NWDC Board Chairman, Alh. Lawal Samaila Abdullahi, Managing Director/CEO, Prof. Shehu Abdullahi Maโaji, and esteemed board members, inspected key facilities donated by private sector partners to advance the Commissionโs operations.
โ โThe Minister toured a 7-storey building, generously donated by the Founder of MAAUN Group, designated as the NWDCโs temporary headquarters. He commended its expansive design and prime location in the heart of Kano metropolis, noting its secure, well-planned environment as ideal for enabling the Commission to commence operations promptly. He also inspected an office complex contributed by the BUA Group, which will significantly enhance the NWDCโs capacity.

โEngr. Momoh praised the MAAUN Group and BUA Group for their exemplary generosity, describing their contributions as a shining exemplar of private sector dedication to advancing national progress. The Minister urged other private sector entities to emulate this impactful partnership and advised the Commission to establish an ad hoc committee to operationalize both facilities without delay.
