On Monday 28th April 2025 Hon. Abdullahi Tanko Yakasai SSAP on Community Engagement North West ,presented a paper at the 2nd FCAPT National Conference organized by Federal Collage of Agricultural Produce Technology Kano.
The theme of the Conference is
“National Food Security: The Present Challenge and the Renewed Hope of the Future”.
He discussed the challenges the Country faced with regard to Food Security and also highlighted the efforts of this administration and the successes recorded thus far by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR towards Food Security. He laid emphasis on how The Federal Government declared a state of emergency on food security and is implementing measures such as releasing fertilizers and grains to States, optimizing water resources, and increasing financial support to the agricultural sector. There is also a growing emphasis on policies aimed at boosting local production and reducing dependence on imports. He also received an award on behalf of The Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Distinguished Senator Abubakar Kyari in appreciation of his immense contributions towards Food Security in Nigeria and the success of Mr. President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
