The Honourable Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (North-West), Hon. Abdullahi Tanko Yakasai, during a field visit to Birnin Kebbi, participated in the commissioning of emergency and special intervention projects across Kebbi State.
The projects include the rehabilitation of flood-damaged sections of the Birnin Kebbi–Argungu–Kaniyaka Road, which links Kebbi and Sokoto States, as well as special intervention works addressing flood impacts along the Birnin Kebbi–Kalgo–Jega Road.
Speaking during the commissioning, the Honourable SSAP commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for initiating these critical developmental interventions, noting that the projects will generate employment opportunities, strengthen security, and significantly enhance agricultural productivity after years of neglect by previous administrations.
The Honourable SSAP also praised the Honourable Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, and the Minister of State for Works, Barr. Bello Goronyo, for their effective coordination and oversight, which ensured the successful execution and high-quality delivery of the projects.
Furthermore, he commended the Kebbi State Controller of Works, Engr. Ishaya Vandu, for his dedication and professionalism in supervising the works, and acknowledged the contributions of the contractors, engineers, and host communities for their cooperation and commitment to the successful completion of the projects.
