📚 Revamping Education in the North-West | 19/01/2025
Today, as public schools resumed, we officially flagged off the 2.0 Revamping Education in the North-West Programme, an initiative of SSAP’s office launched last year to enroll out-of-school children (Almajirai) into formal education.
This year’s exercise took place at Yankaba Primary School, Kawaji, Nassarawa LGA, Kano State, where we successfully enrolled 200 out-of-school children into primary school.
Each child received complete learning materials, including uniforms, school bags, exercise books, and writing materials. Teachers were also supported with essential teaching aids such as dustless chalk, cardboard papers, markers, notebooks, pens, correction pens, sola tape, and rulers.
This intervention is a deliberate effort to take children off the streets and return them to the classroom. We will continue to extend this programme across all Local Government Areas and the entire North-West in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
