In a remarkable display of integrity and transparency, Lameen Muktar Hassan, Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of REMASAB, has been honoured by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano, Engr Abba Kabir, with a merit award during the Workers’ Day celebration dinner held at Government House, Kano. The award recognizes Mr. Hassan’s exceptional honesty and integrity in returning an excess of ₦4.7 million naira salary overpayment that was mistakenly paid into his account in December 2024. This selfless act demonstrates his commitment to transparency and accountability in public service.

Governor Engr Abba Kabir commended Mr. Hassan for his exemplary conduct, stating that his actions reflect the values of honesty, integrity, and transparency that are essential for good governance. The Governor emphasized that Mr. Hassan’s selfless act is a beacon of hope for a better Nigeria, where public servants prioritize the public interest above personal gain.
