Hon.( Dr) Mukhtar Ishaq Yakasai was born at Kano Municipal Council to the family of Alhaji Ishaq Ahmad. He was enrolled into Islamic Education during his childhood by his parents and he’s well disciplined and good upbringing influenced his positive character.He attended Rimi City Special Primary School to Government Technical College were he earn Primary and Secondary School leaving Certificates Respectively. He then proceeds to Kano Polytechnic and obtain National Diploma in Mechanical engineering.
As a trained engineer, he works in Different Construction firms for years before he venture into politics.He was Honoured with a honorary Degree by a prestigious university in Togo for his Outstanding Commitment in human and infrastructure Development.
