On a visit to the Kano State Police Command on 8th January, 2025, Amb (Dr) Maimuna Umar Sheriff, Special Adviser on Community Policing to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, commended the Kano State Commissioner of Police, CP Salman Dogo Garba, and the officers and men of the Command for their tireless efforts in securing the State. During the visit, Amb (Dr) Maimuna Umar Sheriff and CP Salman Dogo Garba engaged in discussions on various issues, including: Women Inclusiveness in Policing: Strategies to promote gender equality and increase female participation in policing. Curtailing Gender-Based Violence: Efforts to combat and prevent gender-based violence in Kano State. Community Policing Engagements: Initiatives to strengthen community policing and foster collaboration between the police and the public across Kano State. The visit underscores the strong partnership between the Kano State Government and the Kano State Police Command in promoting public safety and security in the State.
