His Excellency Mohammad Umar Bago The Farmer Governor, I accompanied him to the Traditional and Religious Leaders’ Conference on the Significance of Girls’ Education in the North-central organized by the Federal Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Niger State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, NSUBEB, and the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) Project.The Executive Governor highlighted the significant role traditional and religious leaders can play in advocating for girls’ education; a strategic step for achieving all girls education, gender equity, empowering women , and driving sustainable development through actionable plans. The Governor mentioned that in his Agricultural Transformation Plan, women will have jobs of 3,000 across the value chain. It was indeed a remarkable visit as I’ve seen the vision in you to which you will be an inspiring leader that people will want to emulate. I Salute the FARMER Governor for his commitment and action driven government not only towards girls education, but also across the every critical segment of the state. From Agriculture to Education, Infrastructural Development, Health Care, and significantly Human Capital Development.
